In films I can combine music with my skills from painting, such as colour, image composition and especially the impression.
With all these things in mind,the big challenge is to connect things, to compound the parts to one whole thing. I think it is mind-blowing how things that only existed in your head are becoming reality step by step. That is what fascinates me so much about film.
Having the ability to make feelings, thoughts, dreams and stories real and experienceable for others. If I want to share thoughts it is film. And also there is all the equipment, it is just so much fun to get to know those expensive cameras. And what is really stunning is how multifaceted a film project is.
I experienced that when I started a film project in 2019 with a friend of mine. My friend composed the music and operated the camera. I was the director, actor, editor, screenwriter and producer. I enjoyed this variety of functions/tasks.With nearly no prior knowledge we plunged headlong into the project in May 2019. At the end of January 2020 I was finally done with editing the film.
