This is the composition that I created for the Westworld Scoring Competition 2020, a competition from Spitfire Audio and HBO where the chasing scene above was to score.
It has been quite a bit of work for me, but I enjoyed the scoring a lot, since I’m also a huge fan of the series.
My aim was to use strong brass to give my composition power, make it dramatic and also connect it with synthesizers, which give a real authentic sound for Westworld. Since I’m a piano junkie, the grand piano must not be missing. I actually used samples of my favourite grand, the Bösendorfer Concert Grand 290 Imperial. It’s a monster with 2,90 m length and 9 additional bass tones!
